Although the day had been clear and bright when I left Sydney, by the time I got to the mountains the mist had glided in and everything was dripping. Still, I decided to go to the garden.

It was breathtaking. Tulips, daffodils, star flowers. Grape hyacinths, rhododendrons, camellias. Blooming. On this grey, dripping day the colours were glorious.

The extraordinary thing? There is still so much more of this glory to come........
